‘BLUE’
Turn on the tap, flip the switch, slam the door, everything's simple in our easy-to-use lives.
However, while we take this ease for granted, a few dedicated craftsmen work in often-cramped workshops
to create one-of-a-kind pieces that add uniqueness to our lives.
"BLUE" is a photography project that took place in and around the old city of Nicosia, Cyprus, with the goal of
photographing carpenters, metal workers, silversmiths and those who reclaim used objects.
Taking these photographs was my way of capturing the essence of blue-collar men and
bringing attention to their daily lives and difficulties. These men have been working in their space,
often independently, for decades, to keep these traditions alive,
and through my photographs I intend to keep these men and their work alive through the years.
